After conducting the prayers in form of Kalasha (sacred pot) Lord Shiva is worshipped filled with water, darbha grass is used to convered it and the lotus flowers drawn on it. Lord Shiva worshipping can also be completing by the Shivling worshipping. From the Shiv puran, Pradosha Vrat Katha is read after all the things offering. And also offering the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra is being recited for 108 times. After completing this pure water is used for puja and Prasad is distribute among the people.
