Among her nine major forms, worshippers venerate Skanda Mata, Kaalratri, Brahmacharini, Kushmanda, Shailputri, Mahagauri, Katyayani, Chandra Ghanta, and Siddhidatri.

The Significance of the Durga Devi Path

In the sacred Rig Veda of Hinduism, the Devisukta is a hymn comprising eight sections that extol the glory and power of Maa Durga. It proclaims Maa Durga as the collective power of all gods, radiating consciousness, omnipresent, and upholding all creation. She is regarded as the source of righteousness and the revealer of truth. This Vedic hymn holds immense significance among Shaktas and is considered the source from which the entire Chandi, as described in Puranas and Tantras, emanated. The Chandi is recognized by two names: Devimahatamya and Durgasaptashati.
