Goddess Maha Lakshmi and Kuber Pujan on Diwali
The Puja of Diwali is performed in a systematic manner. After the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati, aarti is recited with lamps lit in ghee and camphor. Before commencing the aarti, Swastika is drawn with the help of Roli on a plate. After that, some flowers and Akshat (rice) are put on it. A lamp with four wicks and cow’s ghee is lighted. After the completion of these tasks, aarti is performed with camphor, incense sticks, Jal Shankh and clothes.
What should you remember during Aarti?
While performing the aarti, all members of the family should gather together. Every family member should move the aarti 7 times in front of Mata Lakshmi. Then the plate should be handed over to the next member of the family. This act must be performed by every individual in the family
Aarti of Goddess Lakshmi:
ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता, मैया जय लक्ष्मी माता ।
तुमको निशिदिन सेवत हर विष्णु धाता ॥ ॐ ॥
उमा रमा ब्रह्माणी, तुम ही जग माता ।
सूर्य चन्द्रमा ध्यावत, नारद ऋषि गाता ॥ ॐ ॥
दुर्गा रुप निरंजिनि, सुख सम्पति दाता ।
जो कोई तुमको ध्यावत, ऋधि सिधि धन पाता ॥ ॐ ॥
तुम पाताल निवासिनी, तुम ही शुभदाता ।
कर्म प्रभाव प्रकाशिनी, भवनिधि की त्राता ॥ ॐ ॥
जिस घर तुम रहती तह सब सदुण आता ।
सब सम्भव हो जाता, मन नहिं घबराता ॥ ॐ ॥
तुम बिन यज्ञ न होते, वस्त्र न हो पाता ।
खान पान का वैभव सब तुमसे आता ॥ ॐ ॥
शुभ गुण मन्दिर सुन्दर क्षीरोदधि जाता ।
रत्न चतुर्दश तुम बिन कोई नहीं पाता ॥ ॐ ॥
महालक्ष्मी जी की आरती, जो कोई नर गाता ।
उर आनन्द समाता, पाप उतर जाता ॥ ॐ ॥
In English:

Tumko Nishdin Sevat, Har Vishnu Vidhata || OM ||
Uma Rama Bharmani, Tum Hi Jag Mata,

Jo Koi Tum Ko Dhayata, Riddhi Siddhi Pata || OM ||

Jis Ghar Main Tum Rahti, Sub Sadgun Aata,
Sub Sambhav Ho Jata, Man Nahi Ghabrata || OM ||
Tum Bin Yagya Na Hove, Vastra No Koi Pata,
Khan-Pana Ka Vaibhav, Sub Tumse Pata || OM ||
Shubhgun Mandir Sundar, Sheerodadhi Jata,
Ratan Chaturdhsh Tum Bin, Koi Nahi Pata || OM ||
Mahalakshmi Ji Ki Aarti, Jo Koi Nar Gata,
Urr Anand Samata, Pap Utar Jata || OM ||
After reciting the aarti mentioned above water is sprinkled and the following mantra is recited -
कृतेनानेन पूजनेन भगवती महालक्ष्मीदेवी प्रीयताम न मम ॥
Now bow down to goddess Lakshmi and ask forgiveness for the mistakes done unknowingly. And, pray for happiness, peace, prosperity, wealth and health.
After completion of the worship of Mata Lakshmi, as per rituals people also worship Goddess Saraswati with the following mantra -
या कुन्देन्दुतुषारहारधवला या शुभ्रवस्त्रावृता,
या वीणावरदण्डमण्डितकरा या श्वेतपद्मासना ।
या ब्रह्माच्युतशंकरप्रभृतिभिर्देवैः सदा वन्दिता,
सा मां पातु सरस्वती भगवती निःशेषजाड्यापहा ॥
After reciting the mantra, Akshat is taken and offered to the picture of Goddess Saraswati.
Worship Goddess Saraswati in the following manner –
Splatter water thrice and say
Padhyam, Ardhya, Achmaniya Sarwadesnanam Samarpyami, and Goddess Lakshmi should be offered water.
Sarwade Panchamrit Snanam Samarpyami, Mata Lakshmi should be made to have a bath with Panchamrit.
Panchamritsnanante Sudhidhak Snanam Samarpyami, make her have a bath with holy water
Suvasitam Etran Samarpyami, offer essence to goddess
Vastram Samarpyami, offer Moli to Lakshmi
Aabhusanam Samarpyami, gift her jewellery
Ghandham Samarpyami, Mata is offered Roli or red sandalwood
Akshatan Samarpyami, rice is offered to Maa Lakshmi
Kumkum Samarpyami, she is applied Kumkum
Dhupam Aardhapyami, Dhup is lighted in front of goddess
Deepakam Daryshayami, lamps are lighted for Lakshmi
Navedhyam Nivedymami, Offer Prasad to goddess Lakshmi.
Saraswati Pujan on Diwali
Aachmanam Samarpyami, splatter water on Maa Saraswati
Tambulam Samarpyami, offer betel nut, betel leaves, cardamom etc. to goddess
Ritufalam Samarpyami, she is gifted the seasonal fruit
Dhakshinam Samarpyami, perform Aarti of goddess with camphor
Namaskaram Samarpyami, bow down to goddess Saraswati
सरस्वती महाभागे देवि कमललोचने ।
विद्यारुपे विशालाक्षि विद्यां देहि नमोऽस्तुते ।
Kuber Pujan on Diwali
On Dhanteras and Diwali, Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped with Lord Kuber. Performing this puja, the wealth is increased in the house and the growth of wealth is permanent. Lord Kuber is worshipped in the following manner –
First of all, welcome him with the following mantra
आवाहयामि देव त्वामिहायामि कृपां कुरु ।
कोशं वर्द्धय नित्यं त्वं परिरक्ष सुरेश्वर ॥
Now, take Akshat in hand and chant the following mantra
मनुजवाह्यविमानवरस्थितं,
गरुडरत्ननिभं निधिनायकम ।
शिवसखं मुकुटादिविभूषितं,
वरगदे दधतं भज तुन्दिलम ॥
The Akshat in hand is offered to Kuber Yantra.
Now worship Lord Kuber in the following manner:-
Sprinkle water for 3 times and say Padhyam, Ardhya, Achmaniya Samarpyami
Om Vaishnay Namah, Snanarthe Jalam Samarpyami । Drizzle water on the picture or Yantra of Kuber.
Om Vaishnay Namah, Panchamrit Snanarthe Samarpayami | Make the Kumber Yantra, have bath with Panchamrit.
Om Vaishnay Namah, Suvasitam Itram Samarpyami | Offer essence on Kumber Yantra.
Om Vaishnay Namah, Vastram Samarpyami | Offer Mooly (red thread) to Kumber Yantra
Om Vaishnay Namah, Gandham Samarpyami | Offer Roli or red sadalwood to the Kumber Yantra
Om Vaishnay Namah, Akshatan Samarpyami | Rice is offered on the Kumber Yantra
Om Vaishnay Namah, Pushpam Samarpyami | Flowers are presented to Kumber Yantra
Om Vaishnay Namah, Dhupam Aardhapyami | Dhup is given to the Kumber Yantra
Om Vaishnay Namah,Deepakam Daryshayami | Lamps are lighted for Kumber Yantra
Om Vaishnay Namah, Navedyam Samarpayami | Prasaad is offered to Kumber Yantra

Om Vaishnay Namah, Kapurnirajnam Samarpyami | Perform Aarti by burning camphor.
Om Vaishnay Namah, Namaskaram Samarpyami | Bow down to lord.

धनदाय नमस्तुभ्यं निधिपद्माधिपाय च ।
भगवन त्वत्प्रसादेन धनधान्यादिसम्पदः ॥
