Nahai Khai- First Day Of Chhath Puja 2023
Nahai means bathing and Khai means eating. On the very fast day of Chhath puja devotees take a dip in a holly river or lake. It is known as ‘Dubki’. By this dip, they make their body and soul pure. Dubki at that auspicious moment of Chhath which purifies their body, mind and soul. After taking the holly bath they carry a little water with them to cook food. They cook and offer the food to Lord Sun. After that, they eat the food as ‘Prasad’.
Kharna- Second Day Of Chhath Puja 2023
On the second day of Chhath puja devotees keep fast. They do not take water also. That is a total fast. This is called Vrath. People keep Vrath in the belief that the Lord Sun will fulfil their desire or ‘Manaskamana’. In the evening they get done their fast after worshiping God Sun. They take food then only and share the prasads with their friends and families.
Sandhya Argha- Third Day Of Chhath Puja 2023
Sandhyargya means evening offerings. On that, they make different kinds of delicious foods and sweets. They offer those things to Lord Sun when he is setting. It is believed that this is an auspicious time to get his blessing.
Suryodaya Argha- Fourth Day Of Chhath Puja 2023
Suryodaya Argha is the final day of Chhath Puja. People reach a holly riverside before the rising of the Sun. They worship when the Sun rises and break their fast by taking ginger with sugar. It is an auspicious moment. Devotees perform all the rituals with full devotion to please and satisfy Lord Sun to get his blessing.
